AS THE WHEELS TURN
A HISTORY OF ROSALIND, KELSEY AND DISTRICTS
Second edition
The book was first printed in 1982 for the celebration of the Rosalind Homecoming - this book has become a staple in most households. Since we have another milestone coming up in 2016 it would be nice to update the book and have it printed in time for that celebration.
A planning committee is being formed - we are looking for volunteers for this project.
We don't want anyone left out so please help by spreading the word. We would like the book as complete as possible. We want to include everyone who lived in our area no matter for how long.
Since it takes lots of time to collect stories and pictures, as lots of the older generation from the first printing have passed and their children moved away we need to start gathering information for the sequel. Addresses, finding people, setting up a committee to gather information etc, takes time with everyone's busy schedules. Computers will be a big help since the last printing as stories can be delivered that way and pictures scanned without having to leave the persons possession.
What is needed?
Family Histories - summarize your family history from the first book and update what has changed. Don't forget the pictures!
Photo's - school class pictures, anniversary, Century farms, events, sports, rodeo, funeral programs, newspaper obituaries and anything of interest to the community.
I'm volunteering my time and effort towards this project but many more hands are needed in many different areas of expertise.
